not everyone wants our love

Only some people who experience our existence will enjoy the pleasure of being a part of it. There will be others who don’t want our energy and love, this is okay. It doesn’t make sense to chase anyone, and the people who are meant to stay will stay. Not everyone cares about the trials and tribulations we go through. Frankly, it’s arrogant to imagine having every single person’s love and support. To an extent, it sounds very unrealistic. The world is filled with individuals who have it way worse than the perspectives we choose to look through.

After realizing that only some are interested in what we can offer them, it can save us time that would have been spent on someone who values us. When people show us who they are it’s important to notice their true colors. Changing our pairs should never be a goal, yes there are positive ways of influencing the people we care about although purposefully trying to change others for our benefit says a lot about ourselves. It’s easy to get caught in the motions of a negative environment and accept the change we’re projected with. It’s hard to find genuine kindness. It can have a very surreal feeling.

Not everyone will have the same depth or understanding as us; as we meet these individuals, it’s important to consider that they are on their path with their feelings, goals, and egos, capable of understanding us if we allow them. As practice continues, it can improve our bonds, although recognizing when it’s better to step back from someone saves valuable time and energy. If someone makes you feel undervalued and unappreciated and fills you with stress, it’s best to get as far as possible from the individual. It can be tough to cut ties with a certain person after being through so many times together. However, life is too short to live in misery each day. The sunk cost fallacy can play a significant role in our decisions to stay in a situation that makes us uncomfortable. It convinces us of any excuse why we should not change our environment. Convincing us that “things will get better”, and that we’ve already invested too much money, effort, and time into our interests to let it go.

It’s never easy facing the truth that someone we care about dearly isn’t interested in the same way, it can be very demotivating to watch a loved one carry themselves down an unrealistic path. For the most part, all that we can do is continue to look out for ourselves and the people whom we truly appreciate. Everyone can get stuck in a rut, it’s important to accept the possibility and if it occurs we should redirect our energy. Acceptance and redirection do wonders.
