the importance of not rushing one’s art
It can feel more productive and is more satisfying in the short term although rushing art takes away some value when rushed too fast. Art has no set duration. When created, it is supposed to serve in the long term although short-term art is fine. It can be a niche. Finding the necessary ways to express oneself is extremely healthy.
To an extent, art can be found within everything. The food we prepare and consume, the clothes we decide to wear, the music we listen to, and the concepts that we find interesting and aesthetically pleasing. Each plant has to take the time to grow into the size it’s meant to be and currently is. Nature never rushes its growth meaning it never rushes its art. There may be instances where more productivity happens in a shorter amount of time, this shows that as art progresses so does the artist, the person, “the plant”.
To individuals who feel it within themselves to create art on earth, it’s so important to realize that you hold the necessary capabilities and capacities to bring your art to fruition. It can be hard to find yourself and serve a purpose although it’s not supposed to be easy, it doesn’t happen overnight. Starting something new takes some time to develop into a skill. Compounding value within ourselves is noble and contributes to our well-being. There will be lines of people who love your creations, and others who find it within themselves to see you negatively. Whether hearing positive or negative feedback it’s important to appreciate the ability to influence someone else to think, feel, and express an opinion that inevitably contributes to your art. Receiving feedback and criticism can be easily taken personally however having a growth mindset leads to more appreciation for what anyone has to say.
