appreciating outside
As time has passed through generations from the beginning, we’ve been domesticated in certain aspects, which is natural. It’s easy to stay cooped up within our comfort zones, let alone the places we live. It’s not only important to get outside; it should be fun and refreshing.
Life is too short to let our inner child pass away. It’s worth considering taking the time to appreciate the small details like the air we breathe, the water we have access to, and the experiences we can create under the sun and moon. We are truly blessed to be allowed to live, to live on earth, and to live amongst one another. Getting outside helps us develop better health, including generating new cells and getting our blood pumping.
Exercise is a great way to appreciate the outdoors, whether it be going for a walk/run, swimming, or meditating. It’s quite easy to forget to enjoy the outside world. Seeing the same scenery daily can influence the idea of underappreciating all the wonders waiting for us outside.
Spending adequate time outside has numerous benefits, including boosting mood, reducing stress, and improving self-esteem. Time with loved ones and close friends also adds to our experiences outside. It’s great to travel with friends and family to new destinations, create fond memories, and see breathtaking scenery. It’s worth taking photos to grant ourselves time travel to our earlier years.
Living in a social media-filled world can contribute to less time spent outside. Indeed, we live in an era where keeping up to date with what’s ‘hot’ is promoted. Everyone needs downtime occasionally, although it’s easy to live through our screens and pay more attention online than in our actual lives. In the last few years, there have been many different factors that influence our time spent outside.
Many young people today would rather be inside cooped up, online, consuming content than spend a few minutes outside. For the younger generations, there has been an increase in time spent in isolation. Many people struggle with finding themselves and their purpose. We encourage the idea of spending time with the people who impact our lives with positivity. Getting outside is a great practice for building a bond with others and ourselves. It is worth considering the idea of taking the time to appreciate this planet we’re able to call our home. We encourage our young readers to believe in themselves while encouraging our community to believe as well. For the parents who read these, we encourage the idea of showing your family and building conversations in a positive direction.
